Paul Dennis is the leading name in architectural metalwork in the UK. Whether it is classical or contemporary, restoration or from new, internal or external, Paul Dennis is the name that those in the know turn to.

Internationally known both for his creations of modern gates and staircases at palaces, country estates and town houses throughout the world, and for his restoration work on National icons such as The Albert Memorial, the Brighton Pavilion and Windsor Castle. We work regularly with Historic Royal Palaces, English Heritage, CADW and the National Trust on metal work conservation projects.

Commissions for staircases, balconies, fanlights, chandeliers, mirrors, furniture and sculpture are also undertaken, either to our own design or to those of a third party. All our work is bespoke. We take the same pride in the quality of our workmanship, what ever the type or size of the job.

Paul Dennis followed his father into blacksmithing in 1966. He has been working metal from our present workshops in the Brecon Beacons for more than twenty years. Paul and his experienced team work in a wide variety of metals such as traditional wrought iron, cast iron, copper, brass, bronze, mild, bright and stainless steel, tin, zinc and lead.

The company offers colouring, anodising, plating, gilding and painting of all types of metals to achieve all types of finishes. We also provide supporting craft skills such as carpentry and joinery for wooden handrails. We are happy to work directly with clients or through an architect or main contractor and welcome visits to our forge & workshop to watch the progress of the work first hand.
