Restoration of metalwork requires an understanding of how the item was originally constructed, so that it can be sensitively deconstructed if it has to be taken from site, and refurbished, then reconstructed using techniques appropriate to the time of original manufacture.
Paul is probably best known for the decoration of the “Princes Diana” gates at Kensington Palace. The breadth of our work encompasses imposing new entrance gates and overthrows to grand houses to more discrete pedestrian gates to blend in exactly with existing street scapes.
We have a large portfolio of internal metalwork, ranging from alter screens and fonts through to chairs, mirror frames, chandeliers, fanlights and security lighting. However, most of our internal work is on staircases, either rolling scrollwork, panel based designs or upright balusters, in a variety of traditional or modern styles.
We have worked with many clients on many projects over the years. These have ranged from Cathedrals to non conformist chapels, cinemas and theatres, Palaces, Castles, office blocks, and homes, large & small. Paul Dennis and the team have successfully completed work in a variety of styles, from the medieval to cutting edge modern. Below is a small selection of our past public projects. Additionally, we have done work for private clients all over the world.
