PDM is the leading name in architectural metalwork in the UK. Renowned blacksmith Paul Dennis and international conservator Thomas Pinhorn have been working together for more than twenty years. Whether it is classical or contemporary work, from new or restoration, internal or external, PDM is the company that architects, and their clients turn to.
Internationally known both for our creations of modern gates and staircases in a variety of styles and for restoration work on many Grade One listed buildings and monuments, including The Albert Memorial, Brighton Pavilion and Kensington Palace. We also undertake much work in domestic situations for private individuals.
Commissions for staircases, balconies, fanlights, gates & railings, garden arbours and tunnels are undertaken. We can work up ideas to a final design for sign off or work from drawings prepared by others. Most of our work is bespoke and we take the same pride in the quality of our workmanship whatever the size of the job.
Based in the Brecon Beacons, our experienced team work in a wide variety of metals; traditional wrought iron, cast iron, copper, brass, bronze, mild, bright and stainless steel, tin, zinc and lead.
All material can be coloured, anoidised, galvanised, plated, gilded or painted to achieve the desired finish required by the customer. We also provide supporting craft skills such as carpentry and joinery for wooden handrails.
We are happy to work directly with clients, to an architect or with a main contractor
